Bena is one of Nirmana’s works that transforms from aesthetic to functional. The name Bena is derived from fluid motion or water waves resembling its movement. Interestingly, the idea for Bena emerged accidentally when Nirmana’s engineers found that one of their kinetic art pieces was sturdy enough to sit on. This led to the creation of Bena, a kinetic art piece that also functions as seating. Currently, Bena has two versions with size differences.
Bena challenges the conventional, proving that art can exist beyond the visual.. it can be touched, experienced, and lived. Born from a moment of unexpected discovery, a simple artistic exploration evolved into something more.. a piece that you don’t just observe, but engage with. Not just as an observer, but as a participant.
